As consumers we are constantly engaging with various brands. Fast food chains, fabric softeners, smart phones… Each of these has a brand and every brand has a story. What makes us as consumers feel compelled to buy into certain brands? How can we as entrepreneurs use this to build our own brand and get customers to buy into us? [Read more…]
CSBM (Christian Sports and Business Ministry) is a non-denominational Christian ministry that aims to bring together a broad-base of evangelical Christians as well as non-Christians who are interested in Sport and Business.
They host various events where they get sports personalities to share their testimonies over a breakfast. These events are open to all and are a great form of networking and fellowship.
CSBM approached me as they wanted to create a web presence to increase their online visibility, as well as provide guests with a means to register for events and purchase tickets. I created a website for them which allows guests to easily register for events, and for newcomers to understand a bit more about what CSBM is and what they offer.
The site is very clean looking, and with the focus being on the information and the events themselves. With their new site CSBM is now able to update their contact database and have a solid platform from which to reach more people and inform them of the latest news and events.

With the launch of the Star Wars channel on DSTV this month, I have been glued to the screen. I am more interested in the behind the scenes aspect as I have always loved watching “The making of” style documentaries. One fact about Star Wars that was fairly new to me was how few people actually had the foresight to believe it was going to be a success. Twentieth Century Fox didn’t understand it, and even a lot of the actors felt they were making a ‘children’s movie’. George Lucas had the vision and the story to tell, and he had to do his best to bring his dream to reality on his own. [Read more…]
A web designer’s job is simple, right? Meet with the client, listen to what they want, get a few images and some copy together and the website is done, and all for an amazingly low price. In a week the client has a fantastic website scooping up thousands of hits, or making millions in the case of ecommerce sites. [Read more…]
You are busy making, creating, doing your thing that brings people joy and adds value to their lives – so you don’t have time to keep setting up advertising campaigns and dealing with vague queries. It would be nice to have someone to help you field enquiries and market your business, but employing and training a person to help out costs time and money which could be better spent elsewhere. With a little bit of effort up-front you can have your own place on the internet which showcases your talent to the world, making life easier in the long run.
Here are three ways a website makes your business life easier: [Read more…]
